I appreciated the viewpoint of someone who actually was alive during the era I was researching, and especially enjoyed the picture the author painted of the natural resources of the area. Plodding and uninteresting with absolutely no color and does do the topic justice
Having done genealogical work on my New Brunswick ancestors, I was amazed and delighted to find this book. In the past, I would have been very happy if I had found it in special collections in a library and now I own it!
I grew up in New Brunswick and learned so much that I had never known before!
